SinuSal® Junior is a salt mixture specially formulated for nasal irrigation. Each box of SinuSal® Junior contains 40 sachets, equivalent to 40 nasal rinses. The contents of each sachet must be dissolved in the amount of water that fits in a RhinoDouche® Junior bottle (250 mL). The resulting saline solution has a salt concentration similar to that found in the nasal mucosa (isotonic) and is buffered to neutralize pH changes in the water used.
It contains no added preservatives that could harm the sensitive nasal mucosa, and contains xylitol, which moisturizes and prevents adhesions to bacteria and fungi. Its slightly alkaline pH helps thin mucus, facilitating its expulsion. Irrigation with SinuSal® Junior promotes the movement of nasal cilia and improves mucociliary clearance, the self-cleaning system of the upper respiratory tract.
