Food supplement based on Saccharomyces boulardii.
The bacterial strain Saccharomyces boulardii has several different types of mechanisms of action that can be classified into three main areas: luminal action, trophic action and signaling (mucosal anti-inflammatory) effects.
Saccharomyces boulardii has no effect on the normal microbiota in healthy humans, however, in people with diarrhea, the normal microbiota is quickly restored. It is very useful in the prevention of acute diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea (DV) or antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD), in adults and children.
